Basic Troop Tent Camping (Course 2)
7 hour course
Learn what you need to know to take your girls tent camping. This course will emphasize knowledge of outdoor skills such as fire building, tent pitching, varied outdoor cooking techniques (Dutch oven and box oven), and campfire programs. This is a hands on course where you will prepare and eat a full meal.
Prerequisites: Introduction to Cabin Camping Training, 5 hour course or previous Sleep In training.
All adults will be required to wear a face mask throughout the day and social distance, when able. Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle, mess kit, a writing utensil, bandana or hat, and any other outdoor supply you might need such as sunscreen or bug spray.
